What a great site to use to create informative collages about a wide range of topics! I can see my fourth grade students creating a collages about the "Year in Fourth Grade" They could include all the projects they have done such as powerpoints which can be turned to quicktime. Keyboard Shortcuts

Jonelle just showed me this shortcut to use when adding a picture to my blog, website, or teacher webpage. Hold down the Command key(or apple), shift, and 4. You will see an object appear and you can use that to draw a box around what you want to include in the picture. It will automatically save to your desktop and be named picture 1. Great shortcut, thanks Jonelle.

Teacher Tube

This is a great site to get videos to use in the classroom. This site doesn't require a bypass filter password like YouTube.

Smart Board Activities

Elementary Smart Lessons has a lot of lesson already made. All you have to do is download the activity. They have specific content areas such as language arts, math, social studies and science.

Smartboard Site

I found this site called Smart Board Revolution. I had to sign up, but I have received a few good sites and some great information from the posts.

Technology Inservice Day

Madeira Elementary School experienced an inservice day dedicated totally to technology. Members of the MES Tech Team offered sessions based on a survey the teachers completed last spring. Twelve different breakout sessions were offered throughout the day. Each teacher received a binder with help sheets from each session they attended. At the end of the day the teachers completed a survey about the inservice. The results were very positive and most were anxious to start using this new learned technology in the classroom. I have placed a copy of all the handouts from the inservice day in my Links and Download section of my webpage.
